Welcome to the Peña Flamenca El Indalo!
Founded in 2009, Dublin-based Peña Flamenca El Indalo is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of flamenco arts and culture in Ireland.
By working closely with artists and institutions in Spain, the peña aims to raise awareness of this passionate, multi-disciplinary art form across Ireland, and to encourage and support the development of a community of flamenco aficionados.
The events and activities organised by the peña are intended to serve a variety of audiences, from the newcomer who is experiencing flamenco for the first time, to the dedicated aficionado intent upon studying and learning more about the art form.
The peña's annual programme includes shows featuring some of the greatest artists performing today, and workshops in all aspects of the flamenco arts taught by highly acclaimed professionals.
In addition the peña organises smaller, informal gatherings (or juergas) which can include short music or dance performances, and also teaches regular classes in dance, rhythm and guitar.
