Technique & Choreography I This class emphasises the basics of flamenco technique for posture, arms, hands and footwork. Footwork focuses on a series of weekly exercises using binary rhythmic patterns (tangos, tientos, tarantos, etc.). The class also includes the study of a short choreography sequence allowing students to apply their technique in dance.
This class includes 4 hours of master class tuition with guest teacher Felipe de Algeciras.
Technique II This class emphasises more advanced technique and footwork especially, with a series of weekly exercises using ternary rhythmic patterns (bulería, soleá, alegría, guajira, siguiriya, etc.).
This class includes 2 hours of master class tuition with guest teacher Felipe de Algeciras.
Choreography II In this class students learn a number of short choreographies known as pataítas por bulería, in addition to continuing to study a siguiriya.
This class includes 2 hours of master class tuition with guest teacher Felipe de Algeciras.
Sevillanas This class offers the study of both the dance and rhythm of Sevillanas. Each of the 4 different Sevillanas is taught in cycles, repeated throughout the year. The focus is on the classical version of Sevillanas.
