Madrid-born Concha Jareño is certified in Spanish Dance, and has been awarded the National Awards “Matilde Coral” and “Mario Maya” at the Flamenco Art Festival in Córdoba in 2007, the Flamenco Choreography Prize “Certamen de Coreografía de Danza Española y Flamenco de Madrid”, the second prize at the “Cante Flamenco de las Minas 2008” festival, and the revelation award at the Festival de Jerez 2009.

Since 2004 she has been one of the resident teachers at the prestigious “Amor de Dios” school in Madrid and also travels the world to deliver workshops.

Concha is, at present, one of the most outstanding Flamenco dancers and is getting brilliant reviews and critiques. From August 18th to 23rd, she will be part of the dance corps for “Flamenco Hoy”, the new show directed by Carlos Saura, due to premiere at Madrid’s Veranos de la Villa this summer.

Concha Jareño will present for the first time in Dublin her production “Simplemente flamenco”, a dance suite which includes Martinetes, Milonga, Farruca y Caracoles. Flamenco, simply.

She will be accompanied on stage by guitarist Flavio Rodrigues, violinist Raúl Márquez and singers Gema Caballero and Pedro Obregón.
