Experience the raw energy and passion of a live flamenco show up close and personal in Dublin's Le Basement on Friday 16 October.
Proudly presented by Peña Flamenca El Indalo, Felipe de Algeciras returns to Dublin on Friday 16 October to take part in an evening of intimate flamenco performance in Dublin’s Le Basement, downstairs from Le Cirk on Dame St.
Felipe will be accompanied on guitar and cajón by Lucas González. The evening will also include the Dublin debut of flamenco dancer, singer and percussionist Rocío Carbonell.
The intimate venue ensures this will be a very memorable experience for flamenco aficionados and newcomers alike.
Doors open at 8:30pm. Admission is €15 (incl VAT) and is payable on the door. There will be live music from 9:00pm, with the dancers taking the stage at 10:00pm.
Le Basement has a fully licensed bar serving fine wines and port by the glass, and a tapas menu offering a selection of traditional dishes.
About Felipe de Algeciras
Felipe de Algeciras is a renowned Spanish dancer and choreographer who has over 17 years experience performing and teaching flamenco abroad. Felipe has also worked as a dancer and choreographer on a number of cinema projects. On the sound track for “The Mask of Zorro” with Antonio Banderas, Felipe’s footwork provides the rhythm and percussive accompaniment to the guitar of Salvador Andrades and Tito Heredia. In “Dot the I” starring Gael Garcia Bernal, Felipe worked on set and choreographed a flamenco piece for Natalia Verbeke, which she performed with singer Olayo Jiménez and guitarist Tito Heredia.
Felipe is based in Algeciras, Cádiz.
